Cygnets – 3 year old programme
Cygnets
Our 3-year-old Cygnets program is starting Thursday 7th March Week 6 Term 1. Cygnets is for children born between 1st July 2020 – 30th June 2021 who will enrol to come to our Kindy in 2025.
The sessions run 8:40-10:30am Thursday mornings at the Hub (Child Parent Centre Swan) in partnership with the school. Each week children participate in interactive activities around a story book and nursery rhyme and parents stay with their children.
Cygnets is a successful way to transition children to kindy.
Saver Plus – helping take the stress out of back-to-school time
The Saver Plus community program has helped over 55,000 Australians take the stress out of back-to-school time. It’s free for eligible people to join.
At Saver Plus, we pair you with a savings coach while you budget and save over the next 10 months. You attend online workshops to learn tips, tricks and information to grow your budgeting and savings skills. Once you reach your agreed savings goal, ANZ matches your savings dollar-for-dollar
Perth Wildcats
This term, two of the Perth Wildcats came and visited classroom 6.4 . Corey Webster, and Kristian Doolittle demonstrated some basketball skills and answered questions about their professional careers. The students were very lucky to even get autographs signed and were in awe at Kristian who is nearly 2m tall.

School Entry Health Assessment
All children in Western Australia are eligible for a School Entry Health Assessment when they are of school entry age. The School Entry Health Assessment is provided by the local School Health Nurse. It is an excellent opportunity to look at the health and development of your child at the beginning of school life.
The assessments are simple, non-invasive, quick and easy. They screen for problems which are best addressed, if picked up and treated early. The assessments include:
Vision
Hearing
Teeth
Growth (including weight, height and Body Mass Index).
Your child’s results will be sent home after their health check has been completed. Results are always treated confidentially.
Please note, if the assessment results for your child suggest there may be a concern, the School Health Nurse will contact you to discuss.
School Entry Health Assessment forms are currently being distributed for parents to complete.
Please complete and sign the back page of the form before you return it.
Please return the form to the class teacher as soon as possible.
I look forward to working with you and your family.
If you have a concern about your child’s health, development or wellbeing please contact me.
